For some reason I'm having a real hard time seeing Eve Arden in that Bachrach.
Bachrach was able to shed a whole new light on our Miss Brooks.
Awesome pictures, Jack! They really took my breath away. I agree with Michael, Eve is not looking at her best -- perhaps she's over lit and it makes her skin too shiny.
Thanks!
Doest it look like her skin is slightly tacky, like she's perspiring? Her facial features were somewhat soft when she was younger, but they sharpened considrably as she aged.
And what about that Garbo and Clark Gable face off? He looks like he's about to huff and puff and sock her away. And she's all "Oh yeah?" Those silver dresses looked great in b&w movies.
That reminds me of the face off between Stanwyck and Gable in the blogs lower banner. He does sock Stanwyck in that one.
The silver dresses reflected light in a way that gave them that shimmering quality.
