Article from the August 1928 issue of Theatre Magazine titled The Play That Is Talked About - The Front Page, describing the Broadway play The Front Page by Charles MacArthur and Ben Hecht. Also included is an October 1928 Theatre Magazine review of the play. Lee Tracy portrayed Hildy Johnson in the The Times Square Theatre production.

Lee Tracy on the brain! What a great post - nice to see such an old article in full. I like the last pic where Tracy manages to take up the whole stage with arms stretched. I won't forget, if I come across Private Jones you'll be the first one to know.

Im on a Lee Tracy kick. Its kinda too bad he didnt get to do the `31 film version of The Front Page. That pic reveals his acting style was perfectly suited for the stage....the whole stage. Im also on the lookout for Night Mayor and Big Time.
