Great photographs of TEXAS GUINAN. However, she is lit so peculiarly that she appears to have been "Photo-Shopped" into the frame - - impossible, of course, and yet the lighting on her is surreal. Rarely seen photographs from Texas Guinan's personal collection will be on view FREE in the exhibition "Onstage Outlaws: Mae West and Texas Guinan in a Lawless Era" in New York from August 18-31, 2006. http://TexasGuinan.blogspot.com
Hi Mae, Glad you like them. They're actualy poor quality frame grabs from surviving footage of Queen of the Nightclubs, which was used for a flashback scene in the film, Winner Take All 1932. Thanks for the info on the upconing exhibition.
