I didn't read it, I watched it on television. It was a documentary/interview with Hurrell himself, and he said that. He was already an old man, and he was always smiling and in a good mood throughout the whole program.
Thank-you for not putting up the Shirley Temple one!
ReplyDeleteIt was a tough decision choosing between Temple and Thelma Todd, but Thelma won.
ReplyDeleteMarion Davies had a cool profile! George Hurrell once said his favorite subject had been Myrna Loy, because her expression could change in a second.
ReplyDeleteI really like Marion. After I watched The Patsy I was hooked. She got kind of a raw deal because of Citizen Kane.
ReplyDeleteDo you remember where you read that about Hurrell and Loy, was it in a book or an article?

ReplyDeleteThanks, I really wish I saw that documentary. I looked on the IMDB but it wasnt listed.
ReplyDeleteHey, maybe it's this documentary they mention on the home page of this site about Hurrell:

It sure sounds like it.
That's gotta be it, Legends In Light, right there on the Hurrell home page. Thanks.
