The 'What Men Want' ones are my favorites, but the colours in the second 'Around the Corner' herald are interesting. Blue and orange seem to be very commonly used in old sheet music covers, as well.

I like the colors of the "Around the Corner" herald. I also like the design of the "Paris" herald. Im not sure if blue and orange were considered eye catching or just easy to produce, but like you said, they seemed to be used alot back then.
