Hi,
What a thrill for me to see these covers by Enoch Bolles. One thing though, the New Movie cover was drawn by Rolf Armstrong, and it was completed several months after Bolles did his Shearer cover. I wrote about this in my article on Bolles in Illustration magazine. My theory is that Bolles was instructed to do an "Armstrong-like" cover for Talking Screen and then Armstrong saw it, became incensed and then redid the cover to show what a proper Armstrong should look like. I like the Nancy Carol cover much better because it was done in the typical Bolles style. So...as far as I know Bolles did only these three hollywood portrait covers and I would be so grateful to know if ther were any more.

Thanks for the info, I will make the necessary edits. I'll also go through my Bolles collection and post any additional Hollywood portrait covers. Im sure youre correct that these are the only three by Bolles, though.

Actually, I forgot about one additional Bolles cover I recently found> It's a variation of the Garbo cover. I'll scan it and put in on my Bolles flickr page.
