Thanks for reminding me why Carole Lombard is my all-time favorite actress. (As if I needed reminding!) If it was simply Carole's beauty that was special, it would still rank her high -- but her joie de vivre, good-natured iconoclasm, and generosity towards others made Lombard one of a kind, still the standard by whom all comedic actresses are measured. And they all come up short.
