On this very day, 3 May, in 1943, Ms. Francis appeared--as herself, a frontline trouper for US troops--on the radio program Cavalcade of America in a play titled "Soldiers in Greasepaint." Unfortunately, I couldn't get my hands on a recording.
I checked all overthe net, but couldnt find it anywhere. There was a guy on eBay that used to sell some of her radio programs on disc, but I haven't seen them in a while.
